This baby blanket is knit holding a strand of worsted weight yarn with a strand of self striping sock yarn for a speckled effect. There are seven bands of color which can arranged in any fashion that appeals to you. The pattern can easily be adapted to afghan size. You will need about 450 to 500 yards of each weight of yarn. The gauge for the two yarns held together is 14 St. = 4 inches, using size 11 circular needles.
