The beautiful kowhai tree, with it’s tear shaped flowers and bright colour, was the inspiration for this design. It is sized from newborn through to adult large, so you can match your little ones if you want!

The pullover is designed to have plenty of ease, and it is sure to become a wardrobe favourite. Because this is a top-down knit there is ample opportunity for trying the jumper on as you go, this way you get the perfect fit for you or the lucky person who is getting your knitting.

The pattern notes give chest circumferences for each size, and there is positive ease built in to the pattern (making this garment really soft and comfortable to wear)

This pattern is best suited to knitters with some experience, this is only because you are required to ‘read’ you knitting to place the eyelets and that needs a little working knowledge of lace knitting.

This pattern is part of The New Zealand Collection which is available as an ebook comprising 20 patterns (some for women, some for men and some for children).
