KOYO - THE COLOUR OF AUTUMN IN JAPAN

Autumn is a colourful season, and that’s one of the many reasons I love this time of year. The change in colour of the trees creates a magical and picturesque atmosphere, and in Japan, a nature-loving country, this magnificent spectacle even gets a name: Koyo, that is, the change from deep green to the yellow, reddish or orange tones that the trees take on, especially the leaves of the Japanese maple in autumn.
In many places around the world, such as in the northern United States, it is customary to enjoy the colours of autumn by visiting particularly picturesque places where dense trees have changed their color-scheme to the beautiful autumn palette, which inspires this distinctly autumn sock pattern.

If you’re new to knitting socks, knitting a sock can sound intimidating. No worries! I’m here to walk you through the process step-by-step.

Koyo socks it’s a classic cuff to toe sock pattern with a photo tutorial for Dutch heel and toe.
Also, the Latvian braid photo tutorial is provided in the pattern.
Koyo socks have a contrasting heel and toe which I personally find very lovely and an easy colorwork to embellish the leg and the toe.
