As always, I dedicate my patterns to one of my family members. This time it is time to honour my grandmother, a fierce and strong woman.

This pattern is worked in the overlay mosaic technique.

You can use any yarn and hook you like, but I recommend nothing thicker than a DK yarn.

If you use DK with a 4mm hook, you’re blanket will end up around 105cm wide and 170cm long (41” by 67”).

For the black and blue blanket, about 1600m (1750yd) of black DK yarn and 1300m (1450yd) of blue DK yarn was used.

In size 3 crochet thread, your blanket ends up around 85cm by 120cm (33” by 47”). For the red/yellow blanket, 1700m (1950yd) of background colour (red in pictures) and 1600m (1725yd) in pattern colour (yellow in pictures) was used.
