This amigurumi was inspired by the kueh bangkit, a local cookie from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. This fragrant, melt-in-the-mouth cookie is a highly popular staple during festive occasions such as Chinese New Year and Hari Raya.

Pattern Notes

This amigurumi pattern is fairly beginner-friendly but may be a little challenging for new beginners as it includes shell stitches (5 double crochet stitches in one stitch) to create the scalloped edges of this amigurumi.

The amigurumi consists of 2 parts, the top and base, which are stitched together.

It can also be made with a 2.5mm hook but the finished size will be larger.

Finished Size
