Flowers belong to the summer, so of course, I had to knit another flower-themed piece. KUKKANIITTY is finnish language and it means FLOWER MEADOW.
I thought white was the best choice for the base, and for the flower shades, I found a delicate light pink and a slightly bolder shade that harmonizes with the color of berry porridge.
This Woolly Wool is a soft yarn, and thanks to its thickness, it’s also quick to knit. I used 4 mm needles for this project. The yarn is made of 70 % modal and 30 % merino wool. It also contains Tencel.
The leaves at the top of the chart are looped over the finished knitted piece. The tiny yarn balls have also been knitted separately during the finishing phase, so raised patterns fit the design well. Note that in different sizes, additional stitches will be added between the flowers, but still, place the leaves correctly next to the flowers.
