The SKEINO KUMARI SHAWL is knitted with two different yarns in two different weights without having to change the needle size while working the shawl.

Our GINA Sock Yarn in 100% Extra Fine Merino and our VENICE yarn are being used for this half-moon shaped shawl, which is knitted from side to side. The base pattern is stockinette stitch. Increases on one side let the shawl grow to the final width of 21 inches and through decreases on the same side back to 3 stitches on the other end.

Gauge Notes: 18 stitches Gina (14 stitches Venice) and 28 rows in stockinette stitch = 4 x 4 inches (10 x 10 cm)

The yarn is very soft and shows the Glitter from the Venice yarn making it an even more elegant shawl, fit for a Princess, which is what Kumari stands for in the Indian language. The ends from the yarn changes are tied into small tassels. Many spectacular color combinations are available to catch your eyes.

This kit provides a total of 1200 yards (1100 meters) giving you the right amount of yarn to form a good size shawl.
