A play of two yarn weights alternating (not held together) and worked in alternating rows of garter and slipped stitches. This juxtaposition creates a fluttering wing shape.

Materials: MC - 2 skeins Urth Galatea, shown in 2201
CC - 1 skein Urth Monokrom Cotton, shown in 1201
Dimensions: 64”/ 162.5 cm wingspan, 17”/ 43 cm deep at center point, unblocked
Needles: US 11 / 8 mm for body, US 10 / 6 mm for I-cord
edge, straight or circular, long enough to accommodate sts
Gauge: 11 sts x 20 rows in Garter St using US 11/8 mm ndls and MC and CC weights = 4”/10 cm square. Gauge is not crucial, but will affect yarn usage.
