This 96 stitch ethnographic mitten from the northern Kurzeme region begins with an 18th Century type knit and purl cuff then transitions to a two color graph for the upper mitten. A small overwork section bisects the top of the cuff. Two colors are needed for the upper mitten plus a small amount of three additional colors for the cuff and overwork sections. The cuff is an old cuff dating to the 18th Century.

Changes to yarn and needle size will yield a variation in the size.
