This is a long, warm cowl with drop stitch detail. It is easy and quick to make and fun to wear. The name comes from one of the bigger rapids on the Missinaibi/Moose River in northern Ontario. The rapid is where the river flows down to meet the tidal waters coming in from James Bay. The colours reminded me of the fun surf it creates.

Size can vary greatly depending on how many stitches you cast on. Doing a gauge swatch and calculating your desired circumference from that is advised. The pattern size in worsted weight wool used about 300 yards.

I recommend a variegated wool for this, as it will make it pop more than a solid.
