These pretty socks are named after Kya Clark, the beautiful, brave and resourceful protagonist in one of my favourite books, Where the Crawdads Sing.

The Kya Socks have a subtle texture throughout, and with a simple 4-round repeat, will become a firm favourite.

The Kya Socks are knitted using a slip stitch, heel flap and gusset construction, and my Swirl Toe, but feel free to substitute your own particular favourites.

The pattern is suitable for beginner knitters through to more experienced knitters. I would recommend using tonal / semi-solid / solid or a lightly speckled yarn to define the texture pattern.

This is a written pattern (without charts).
