This is a listing for a knit wrap pattern that features two stitches that come to us from Japan. The lace stitch contains mock cables. Both stitches are interesting and fun to knit. Together, they make a beautiful shawl. The stitches, although they are Japanese, are easily learned by American knitters, especially those who love knitting lace. All symbols used are those that are familiar to Western knitters. (Note: There are instructions contained within the pattern for adjusting and/or omitting the border stitch.) There are also instructions contained within the pattern for an optional crocheted edging.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).

The two stitches are both charted and written out line by line.

The shawl was expertly test knitted The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Shawn Sweeny, who can be contacted at: scsween99@
hotmail.com. The yarn used in the sample is Fleece Artist’s Merino 2 - 6 in colorway, Amethyst.
