La Belle Époque was a period of Western history, from ca 1870 to the outbreak of World War I in 1914. It was characterized by optimism, economic prosperity, and technological, scientific, and cultural innovations. My pattern is inspired by Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) which emerged from this period. Art Nouveau is characterized by nature inspired motifs, and also curvilinear and geometrical forms.
