This is a unique pattern that was featured in both Der Bazar and La Mode Illustree, 1864. There are two pieces pictured for this pattern, one in pink and another in brown. The pink’s shaping is more like the original pattern image. The lapels are more rounded in shape, and there is a straight portion at the shoulder.

The brown version has more pointed lapels, and a smoother transition at the shoulder. This is probably the most difficult knitted piece in this entire book. The border can be worked in Tunisian or knit.
