La Svolta is a modern asymmetrical crochet scarf inspired by the bold architecture of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre/Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre building in Melbourne, Victoria. It has a textured stitch pattern inspired with a distinct coloured stripe creating a scarf which is like wearing a gentle warm hug.

Worked in four sections, it balances relaxing, travel-friendly crochet with one more engaging textured section, making it a satisfying project for a special skein and 2 mini skeins, or other left-over stash yarn.

Measurments
Finished Measurements: 122 cm (straight across not by curve) 135 cm (following curve) x 31 cm at the widest point.

Gauge:
21 sts and 33 rows of dc to measure 10 x 10 cm/ 4x4”, after blocking at a slight stretch.

Section 2 pattern- 8 row repeat diagonal stripes 3cm apart. 21sts and 27 rows in section 2 stitch pattern to measure 10 x 10 cm/ 4x4”, after blocking at a stretch.

Yarn
This sample was created using Skein Sisters Fabulous Sock, 4ply
It is made from 80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon. The scarf used 100g skein and 2 mini skeins.

Adventurous Beginner. Uses increases and decreases for shaping, front post stitches for texture, Reverse dc/sc (uk/us).
