notes

  • This cardigan is worked seamlessly from the bottom up. Decreases occur within stitch patterns for a flowing and uninterrupted look. Due to the nature of the stitch patterns, the front edging will be wavy after knitting. Do not block this out, as the stitch patterns look best left relaxed. After you pick up stitches for button bands, the waviness at the front opening will relax on its own.

  • Take a moment to look over the charts; they all represent the same general shape, but are worked over different numbers of stitches to make the shape larger or smaller. Throughout the pattern you’ll be instructed to work from the chart that corresponds to a particular stitch count (e.g., “Work from the 16-st Chart” or “Work from the 12-st Chart”).

  • The stitch patterns are very stretchy, so you can be fairly flexible in choosing which size to knit.
