I’ve made this with worsted weight yarn as well as a ribbon yarn, Berroco Glacé, which is discontinued, alas. But you could use any ribbon yarn you like. I used slightly larger needles (#9) for the ribbon.

True confessions: although I finished the ribbon one, I didn’t finish the one with Cascade 220. Yarn amounts, therefore, are estimated. Of course, it all depends on which yarn and what size needles you decide to use, and just how wide and long you want to make it.

The pattern is easily adaptable--any yarn, any needles--just cast on any multiple of four and play with it. I would start with 20 to 24 stitches and see if you like the width and drape you’re getting.

Bonus: it’s a super easy pattern. Great mindless knitting for knit night!

Enjoy!
