This pattern is actually more versatile than just the bonnet itself. You can make this longer and put into a scarf. Also it is done with 37 pegs so if you go with a large gauge like 1/2” or higher you can make an adult size. If you use 3/8” gauge it will make the size in the photo.

This pattern incorporates a chart to make easy reference on working each row. Plus a video tutorial to explain what the symbols mean and go through the difficult areas that might not make sense. There is cables involved, decreases and yarn overs as well. There is a picot cast on and bind off. There is some photo tutorials and the pattern is also written out.

I uses less than a skein of yarn in size 3 to make the bonnet.
