The Lacy Curves Cowl features a lacy textural stitch pattern from the Japanese book Knitting Patterns 300 Lace (now out of print). The pattern alternates sections of curves to the left, and curves to the right, creating a richly textured design.

As with so many Japanese stitch patterns, there are elegant details. In this pattern there are single cables tucked into the curves.

The bottom border flares to fit the shoulders. The cowl can be worn casually as shown in the top left photo; or with the top section folded inside for extra warmth, shown bottom left.

Included with the pattern are step-by-step instructions with photos for working the Japanese stitch symbols for twisted stitches and right and left crosses.

Pattern was professionally tech edited by Robin Melanson.
