Lacy Fans Crochet Shawl
The pattern is written such that any yarn or thread can be used. The exact number of repeats you make will determine the final size of the shawl. As it is worked in one piece from the back of the neck, you may choose to stop when you are satisfied with the drape and size of the shawl.
The pattern is written to make two different shapes - square wedge or triangle. You may choose the desired shape of shawl to make. The square wedge shape would require roughly 50% more yarn than the triangle shape for the same depth of shawl.
To gauge the amount of yarn required:
The cream to pink square wedge shawl used a fingering weight yarn - roughly 1600m or 1777 yds of yarn. The total “wingspan” is about 72 inches.
The multi-coloured triangle shawl used a heavy lace weight yarn - roughly 1000m or 1111yds of yarn. The total “wingspan” is about 70 inches.
