Brief Overview/Tips:
The dress is worked from the top down, featuring I-cord straps and slipped-stitch edges. First, each strap is worked separately with its respective increases. The straps are then joined in pairs on the same needle, and the front and back pieces are worked flat separately. All stitches are then joined, and the remainder of the dress is worked in the round. The dress features gentle waist shaping, followed by increases to create additional fullness in the skirt.

The ruffles can be worked as you go or added
at the end – the choice is yours.
If you prefer to add them at the end,
I recommend purling the rounds where you
will later pick up stitches.
This makes it easier to identify where to
pick up the stitches.

Size:
1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6) 7

Garment Measurements:
Bust circumference: approx. 75 (82) 88 (94) 100 (110) 120 cm.
Waist circumference: approx. 68 (78) 82 (89) 96 (103) 114 cm.
Total length measured from shoulder: approx. 85 (95) 95 (95) 105 (105) 105 cm, or desired length.

Please note that the weight of the garment may cause it to stretch slightly after washing and wear.

The model is wearing size 2, typically wears size 3 (M), and is 168 cm tall.

A dress with straps tends to feel roomier than the stated bust measurement suggests. The model shown is wearing the dress with 6 cm of negative ease at the bust, and it still has a relaxed fit.

Yarn requirements:
The dress is knitted holding 1 strand of Arwetta (210 m/50 g) together with 1 strand of Tilia (210 m/25 g), both from Filcolana.
The ruffles are worked using 1 strand of Tilia only.

Arwetta: 200 (250) 300 (300) 350 (350) 400 g
Tilia: 200 (250) 275 (275) 300 (325) 350 g

Recommended Needles:
4 mm circular needles, 60 cm and 80 cm.
Sizes 5–7 require only the 80 cm circular needle

Gauge
22 sts × 30 rnds = 10 × 10 cm worked in stockinette stitch using 1 strand of each yarn held together on 4 mm needles.
