Lacy Sampler Scarf
A fun scarf to crochet if you want to try a variety of beautiful, lacy stitches! Use a yarn with long color blocks to have the colors change organically or use a solid color to emphasize the different stitch patterns.
Materials:
Fingering weight yarn:
Approx. 550yds
E/4 3.50mm hook and F/5 3.75mm hook
OR
DK weight yarn:
Approx. 600yds
G/6 4.0-4.25mm hook and H/8 5.0mm hook
OR
Worsted weight yarn:
Approx. 350yds
H/8 5.0mm hook and J/10 6.0mm hook
Check your yarn label for the recommended hook size. Use the suggestions above to get an idea of the size difference between the 2 hooks needed for your yarn weight.
Size:
Fingering weight width ~ 6”
DK weight width ~ 9”
Worsted weight width ~ 12”
Stitches:
yo = yarn over hook
slst = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
tr = treble (triple) crochet
picot = ch3, slst in first chain
ddx = double double cross (explained in instructions)

There are charts provided for clarity but ideally you should read both the written instructions and the charts.
Two sizes of crochet hooks are required for this pattern.
