There is something very satisfying and enjoyable about making wool mittens, especially when they are for your loved ones.

Any worsted weight (4) yarn of similar gauge may be substituted, but I chose 100% wool, because in addition to its thermal qualities it is water resistant, dirt resistant, and durable…making it the perfect fiber for mittens.

This crochet pattern includes instructions for 3 different ladies sizes ranging from 23 1/2 cm (9 1/4”) in length for a ladies small to 25 1/2 cm (10”) in length for a ladies large. The entire mitten is worked in single crochet, and the pattern calls for 1 ball of Patons Classic Wool 100 g (3.5 oz)/192 meters (210 yards) per skein, a 3.50 mm (E) and a 3.25 mm (D) crochet hook.
