Lady of the Lake Cuffs is part of a 3-cuff collection (“e-book”) called The Lady Cuffs. The single pattern includes both written and charted instructions for the entire set. An additional document is provided with full-page charts for each design, for those who want “just the charts and nothing but the charts.” While the designs are not sold individually, the 3-cuff set is only $6!

These lovely cuffs are the perfect accessory to dress up a sweater or jacket, and they have the added benefit of warming your wrists and keeping your hands free. Embellish them or leave them unadorned -- they’re equally charming either way.

The cuffs knit up quickly, and one skein of the suggested yarn will make several pairs of cuffs, so they’re a great item for gift-giving.

The Lady Cuffs is a collection of 3 cuff patterns inspired by ladies from various Arthurian legends: Lady of the Fountain, Lady of the Lake, and Lady of Shalott. Each cuff has a pretty ribbing that flows into a central motif on the top of the hand, set off by Stockinette stitch around the palm. Appropriate for a range of knitting experience, the set will provide variety for the experienced knitter, and beginners can think of the motifs as little samplers and explore simple twists, crossed stitches, cables, and lace.

Lady of the Lake, shown here embellished with tiny Venetian glass disc beads, features a textured central motif composed of alternating twisted stitches bordered by crossed stitches.
