The third shawl in the Classic Fantasy Shawls collection!

A single skein shawl inspired by Ladyhawke

Ladyhawke is lovely fairytale film, and it has a really understated sense of fantasy and magic compared to other films in this collection. I think it feels like this because it could almost happen – medieval history is full of legends like this story so it could have leapt from the pages of an unearthed lost tome of history. I wanted the shawl to have the overall look of Isabeau’s cursed Hawk shape, with beautiful lace for this beautiful story. Worked from the top down, the lace on the ‘wings’ is full of feathery shapes and the centre panel has the feathery plumage of a hawks chest. It ends with an extended panel of tail feathers that is blocked into a fan shape. It’s a perfect shawl to wear while you walk in the moonlight with your black wolf eternally by your side.
