Lahar Yoga Mat Tote is a slouchy lacey bag with a wide strap. It is perfect for any yogi to take to the yoga studio or to take your mat to a park. It is a unique design and is sure to spur up a conversation.

The pattern uses a basic stitch for the base and the strap of the bag, the seed stitch, while the rest of the bag features a fun vertical drop stitch pattern. The base of the bag is knit back and forth, and then the rest of the tote is built around the base.
In this pattern, the drop stitch length changes every segment (table provided), so that the waves appear to be in motion. Clear instruction for the drop stitch pattern is provided. This pattern uses 1 whole skein of 350 m length, and is a perfect way for you to use up a skein that is lying around or even any number of leftover sock yarn in your stash.

The final dimensions are 14.5” by 6”, or 36.75 cm by 15.25cm (after blocking) which is perfect for a standard yoga mat of dimensions 68” by 24” (or 172cm by 61cm).
