Laïla is a one-skein cowl that can be worked with either fingering (sock) weight yarn or worsted weight yarn, and the same needle size is used for both. Highly variegated, tonal dye, solid, even self-striping yarns will knit up beautifully in the slip-stitch pattern. For a looser cowl with lots of drape, pick a skein of sock yarn and cast on. If you want a more sturdy and close to the neck accessory, pick a skein of worsted. Happy knitting!
