A generously-sized bulky-knit throw blanket for curling up on cool evenings, this throw works up quickly with 2 strands of worsted-weight yarn held together. The contrast color stripes are achieved with a simple slip-stitch pattern, working only 1 color at a time.

Directions for a 12” x 16” pillow cover, worked as a contrast accent, are also included.

Yarn: Approx. 2600 yds. worsted wt. yarn
Main Color: 2200 yds
(as shown: Columbia-Minerva Nantuk 4-ply, 280yds/4 oz. sk; 8 sks. #5907 white)
Contrast Color: 400 yds
(as shown: Nashua Creative Focus worsted, 220 yds/100g sk; 2 sks. #1321 delft blue)
…alternatively, bulky weight yarn may be substituted: MC – 1100yds; CC - 200 yds.
Needles: Size US11 (8.0mm) circular needle (30 – 40”)

Please Note:There is an omission on Row 3 of Contrast Stripe 3. The original instructions say, “R3: Sl1, (sl1wyf, k1) to last 5 sts; sl1wyif, k4.

It should say, “R3: Sl1, k3; (sl1wyf, k1) to last 5 sts; sl1wyif, k4.
