I love to go camping in the fall. It can get quite chilly as the sun sets, so I try to always pack some warm, wooly goodness like these thick socks. Knit with a squishy section of garter lace, the socks are as beautiful as they are warm.

Bronto DK by Yarnaceous Fibers is the perfect match to the pattern- the superwash yarn is extremely soft and has added nylon for durability. And the colors! I was especially smitten with the sample colorway, Moon Lake.

The sock is knit toe up, beginning with a Turkish cast on. Line by line directions for the shadow wrap short row heel are included for each size, making this pattern accessible to beginner sock knitters.

Offered in five sizes and customizable for foot and leg length, these socks are suitable for the whole family. I hope you enjoy making and wearing your Lakeside socks!

I’d love to see your Lakeside boot socks on social media! Please use tags #lakesidebootsocks and #theknittingtutordesigns
