I designed this particular hat for my own personal use. I love the folded cuff as it provides extra protection for my ears on cold, blustery days. This ribbed cuff is just the right fit for my head. Not too tight, nor too loose.

The design may be adjusted to suit your personal preference. The fold over cuff can be reduced to create a straight cuff with the cabled portion extended for the perfect fit.

Using a yarn such as Starmore Hebridean 3 ply will provide a structured hat which will hold it’s shape nicely. If Madelinetosh is preferred, it will be more relaxed and floppy hat.
