“Landslide” is an oversized, open-front cardigan with ¾ sleeves featuring diagonal panels on back and fronts. It is quite simple to work – you only need to get familiar with Half Brioche and a handful of simple stitches and techniques all described in this pattern.

As it is designed to have lots of ease, there is only one size provided which fits all. For a 10% smaller cardigan, use the instructions for gauge 20, but work at a smaller gauge (i.e. 22), and vice versa for a bigger cardigan (work at gauge 18, but use instructions for gauge 20).

Gauge for sample: 20 sts x 48 rows with needle 3,5mm, blocked lightly (Half Brioche changes quite a lot with washing). (Just for comparison: approx. 24 sts x 36 rows with same needle in Stockinette).

Instructions are provided for 18 sts x 44 rows and 22 sts x 52 rows, too.

You can choose which side of the Half Brioche to wear on the outside - or if you work the 3-needle-bindoff neatly and weave in ends carefully, you could even wear it from both sides!

The pattern also describes an (even simpler) cape version with big armholes instead of sleeves.
