Named after a place up in the wild and barren Pennines, these simple and rustic, chunky fingerless mitts were born out of a need for something thick, cosy, quick and easy. They tick all those boxes and are pretty addictive!

Materials:
Eden Cottage Yarns, Pendle Chunky
(100% superwash extrafine merino)
(100m/109yds per 100g skein)
Colourway Elderberry 1 x 100g skein

6mm / US 10 needles; double pointed needles (dpns) or 80cm (32in) circular for magic loop (or size required to obtain gauge)

Notions – stitch marker, tapestry needle, scissors, waste yarn/stitch holder

Size:
Small (large)

Finished Measurements
Wrist circumference 14 (15)cm / 5.5 (6)in
Hand circumference 16 (18)cm / 6.25 (7)in
Length 18 (18)cm / 7 (7)in

To fit
14 (15) cm / 5.5 (6)in

These mitts are designed to be close fitting, with no ease, however they are very stretchy due to the large stitches.

Gauge:
16 sts and 20 rows to 10cm (4 in) over stocking stitch on 6mm needles after blocking
