When choosing yarn with 100g like cascade 220 Superwash, I was able to knit 2 hats and still have about 25g left over of each color. 2 colors, Color A and Color B. The first hat was made with the main color as A and B as the secondary color. The 2nd hat was knit with the main color as B and A the secondary hat. Also if you are changing the size of needles to fit the gauge, make sure to knit the brioche portion in one size smaller needles from the needles chosen.
