Combining traditional lace patterns and a modern shape, this flirty little shrug is accented with a laced edged ruffle in a solid color that compliments the iridescent hand painted variegated colorway. An option is to knit the whole thing in the variegated colorway. If so-then 1 skein is all that is needed for the 3 smaller sizes. Two skeins would be needed for the remaining sizes. The main portion of the shrug is worked in a rectangle and then the sleeves are grafted together. The contrasting color is then knitted around the remaining stitches. Binding off is done the Estonian way using 2 strands of yarn. As a twist we used 1 solid and 1 variegated strand.
