#Laravest is a vest pattern worked from the bottom up.

After working the body ribbing, a steek is added then stranded knit in the round. After shoulders are done, the steeks are cut for the button band and armholes.

In this pattern, the floats are not very long, so catching the float is not necessary, and working stranded from the purl side is kept to a minimum. So, this is a worry free pattern even if it is your first time steeking.
