The Last Dance is a romantic and delicate shawl in the shape of a symmetrical triangle. The shawl starts at the top center and is worked towards the garter border. The border is finished with a sweet picot bind-off, which adds a lot of charm and lightness. The shawl is worked in the garter stitch alternated with the lace stitch. The pattern repeat was constructed in a way that allows you to make the shawl bigger as the pattern calls, if you have more yarn.

Yarn
The shawl was designed for a fingering-weight yarn. You’ll need approx. 400 m / 437 yds. If you have more yarn than the pattern calls, you can make the shawl bigger.
One pattern motif (garter section + lace section) is 68 rows long. You can enlarge the shawl by working an additional motif repeat(s). The amount given in the pattern should be enough to work the entire motif twice and finish the shawl with a picot border.

The sample was knit with Pure Merino Dye Dye Done (100% merino wool, 400 m / 437 yds in 100 g), shown in Sedona colorway.

Note: the yardage is estimated. It was based on the yarn consumption of the sample. If you have less yarn than the amount listed in the pattern, you can simply bind off the shawl after completing the last lace section, or reduce the number of the garter stitch rows in the border.

My sample used 335 m / 366 yds till the end of the last lace section and 65 m / 71 yds for the border (including the picots).

Needles & Notions
3.5 mm US #4 circular needles or other size to get the proper gauge.
stitch markers, row counter (optionally), a tapestry needle for weaving ends.

„Last Dance” to romantyczna i delikatna, jedno-motkowa chusta w kształcie symetrycznego trójkąta. Dzierganie chusty zaczyna się od środka i przerabia w kierunku bordiury wykonywanej ściegiem francuskim. Bordiura wykończona jest pikotkami, co dodaje dużo uroku i lekkości. Chusta przerabiana jest naprzemiennie ściegiem francuskim i ściegiem ażurowym. Powtórzenie wzoru skonstruowano w taki sposób, by można było go bez problemu powiększyć, jeżeli dysponuje się większą ilością włóczki.

Uwaga: wzór zawiera wyłącznie instrukcję pisemną dla ażuru.

Włóczka
Aby wykonać chustę potrzebne będzie około 400 m włóczki o grubości „fingering”. Jeżeli dysponujesz większą ilością włóczki, chustę można bez problemu powiększyć. Jeden motyw francuz+ażur przerabia się przez 68 rzędów. Chustę można powiększyć przerabiając motyw więcej razy. Zużycie podane w opisie powinno wystarczyć na dwukrotne przerobienie całości motywu oraz wykończenie chusty bordiurą z pikotkami.

Przykładowy egzemplarz wykonałam z włóczki Pure Merino Dye Dye Done (100% wełna merino, 400 m na 100 g), kolor „Sedona”.

Uwaga: zapotrzebowanie na włóczkę podano w sposób przybliżony, na podstawie zużycia mojego egzemplarza. Jeżeli dysponujesz mniejszą ilością włóczki niż podano w opisie, z powodzeniem możesz zamknąć oczka chusty już po zakończeniu ostatniej sekcji ażurowej, lub zmniejszyć ilość rzędów francuza w bordiurze.

Zużycie w moim egzemplarzu, po zakończeniu drugiej sekcji ażurowej, wynosiło 335 m. Na bordiurę wraz z
pikotkami zużyłam około 65 m.
