The Gambit Hat is a bottom up hat worked in the round. It has a folded brim to keep ears warm. The body and crown of the hat are shaped in beret style.

Gauge: 20 sts x 28 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm stockinette stitch in the round with US 7 - 4.5 mm circular needles or the size of needles to obtain the gauge

Size: toddler (small child, adult 1, adult 2)

  • toddler - head size 15 inches (38 cm) - hat knitted with 1 inches (2.5 cm) negative ease (14 inch / 35.5 cm)- hat’s height 7.5 inches (19 cm)
  • small child - head size 17 inches (43 cm) hat knitted with 1 inches (2.5 cm) negative ease (16 inch / 40.5 cm) - hat’s height 7.5 inches (19 cm)
  • adult 1 (2) - head size 20 (22) inches (50 (56) cm) hat knitted with 2 inches (5 cm) negative ease (18 (20) inch / 45.5 (50.5) cm) - hat’s height 8.5 inches (22 cm)

US 7 - 4.5 mm 16 inch (40 cm) circular
