Late Summer Formal
THIS PATTERN HAS A SURFACE CROCHET EDGING
Sometimes it’s fun to play dress-up, especially when you can add a stitched accessory to put that finishing touch on your outfit. Here’s an accessory you may not have thought of before! Knit from tip to tip in moss stitch surrounding a center lace panel, this necktie will definitely make a statement!
Knitting will start at the bottom of the tie, work through the lace panel and finish at the opposite end. After knitting is complete, you’ll use a crochet hook to add slip stitches to all edge stitches around using either the same or a contrasting color. Sample used an ombre yarn and finished by skipping to the opposite end of the ombre to add a more dramatic effect to the slip stitch border.
