With a border that’s reminiscent of Victorian-era lace, the Lattice & Lace crochet blanket features a combination of both lattice and lace stitches. It’s a beautiful and intricate design that requires some crocheting skills to master. But, don’t let that intimidate you because I have a video stitch tutorial for the squares that will help you overcome any fears you might have!

This blanket can be made with any weight yarn. The original is made with DK weight yarn and measures 49” x 49” with the edging, and approx 39” x 39” without. So, this blanket would make a lovely morning coffee blanket or a sweet baby gift in its original size, or you could change your yarn to a worsted weight and increase your hook size to make it large enough to cover a full adult.

The blanket with the border calls for 16 squares.

Yarn:
DK weight yarn or #3 light yarn
Color A: 6 skeins/colors, Cygnet DK (100g/3.5oz/297m)
(Each square will take about 30-40g. I got 5 squares from each skein.)

Color B: 6 skeins, Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK in Aran (100g/3.5oz/280m)(The edge alone takes 2 full skeins and a bit of another.)

NOTE: Any DK weight or #3 light yarn can be substituted.
Notions:
Hook: F/3.75mm
2-3 stitch markers
