Recently, my mom asked for a table runner for her very long (but very pretty) dining table. She’s got a rustic, not-quite-colonial & not-quite-farmhouse aesthetic, so I debated for a long time on what to make. We both envisioned a crisp natural cotton to offset the warm wood of the tabletop, and so I considered a macramé runner, but ultimately decided that was more my style than hers. Instead, we decided on a runner designed with filet crochet. It’s classic, simple, and offers a stunning amount of negative space.

This runner was designed for an 84-inch table. However, the included chart should provide a basis for adjusting the length as you see fit. Feel free to reach out to me if you need help adjusting the pattern to your desired length!

This is a beginner-friendly crochet pattern which features the filet crochet technique. The pattern includes a photo tutorial for adding fringe, as well as a chart for easy reading.

The Lattice Table Runner was crocheted with a Size K (6.50mm) crochet hook, and will require 5 skeins of Lily Sugar’n Cream Super Size yarn (pictured in Ecru).
