Solid Socks Group Aug./Sept. Mystery Sock!!!

“I was happiest between the waves.” Gertrude Ederle

On August 6, 1926 Gertrude Ederle, at the age of 19, became the first woman to swim the English Channel. Her quote and her accomplishment along with the picture above is my inspiration for this Tribute sock. It didn’t start out that way but when I saw the waves and came across the quote I was hooked! I am happy to share it with all of you a bit at a time. That’s how this works, right?

I’ll give you some information on materials now so you can get ready. The first clue was released August 1, 2015, 12 a.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time (New York City).

Let’s have some fun together!

Must knit now,

Phyll
