The Laura Cardigan is a wardrobe staple: a comfortable cabled open-front cardigan that is easy to throw on and fun to knit. The sweater looks fantastic paired with a silk camisole and a pair of slacks or even with a casual fitted tee and your favorite pair of jeans. Alternating stitch patterns of ribbed cable, stockinette, and reverse stockinette make this sweater an enchanting knit.

Construction Details
The Laura Cardigan is worked in 5 separate pieces with an (optional) additional 2 side gussets for creating an A-ling shape. After being knit, the pieces are seamed together using mattress stitch. The back is worked in the ribbed cable pattern. The fronts have the ribbed cable pattern and a reverse stockinette stitch shawl collar. On each front, the shawl collar is worked past the shoulder bind offs and then grafted together before being seamed into the back neck shaping. The sleeves are full length tapered sleeves with a cabled cuff and stockinette body.
