This versatile head wrap or ear warmer design knits up quickly using one skein of luxury wool/silk blend yarn (150 yards),divided into two balls and knit with two strands of yarn held together, on size 9 (5.5mm) straight needles. Alternately, a chunky weight yarn is suggested for you as well, should you want to knit using just one strand. The head wrap looks great buttoned at the back under a high ponytail or up-do, and also turned with the button to the side of your face. The openwork forms branch-like tracings around the wrap, making this fall-inspired design elegant enough for women, but fun for teens as well. The first photo shows the head wrap worked in Manos Del Uruguay Silk Blend color “Pine.”

Suitable for intermediate knitters, this is a fun and fast holiday gift to keep or to give.
