I used Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran 10 ply acrylic. 100 g balls - 184m per ball.
Throw measures (after blocking) 140cm x 195cm. This size is great for a single bed cover.
The size can be increased by adding repeats to each row and adding more patterns top and bottom.
You can use any weight of yarn, pure wool or acrylic or a mix of both (with corresponding hook size) however, keep in mind the size will vary accordingly. Also, the yarn amounts will change.
For the throw -
Purple - 3.15 balls = 315 grams = 570m approx.
Blue - 3.7 balls = 370 grams = 680m approx.
Lilac - 4.14balls = 414 grams = 755m approx.
Cream -10 balls = 1000 grams = 1840m approx.
For the Border -
Purple - 125grams. 230m approx.
Blue - 75grams. 138m approx.
Lilac - 80grams. 147m approx.
Cream - 183grams. 336.8m approx.
