Laventeli is an open front cardigan with a beautiful V-neck lace collar. The cardigan is worked seamlessly from top down, the body back and forth and the sleeves in the round. The collar edges are finished with an i-cord that is worked simultaneously with the collar. Two lengths are given, for a regular length cardigan and for a long one.

Bust circumference of the finished cardigan, fronts overlapped 32 ¼ (35 ½, 39 ¼, 42 ½, 45 ¾, 49 ¼)” / 82 (90.5, 100, 108, 116.5, 125) cm
The cardigan is designed to be worn with approximately 2” / 5 cm of positive ease which is already built into each size. Shown in size M in longer version.

YARN
Miss Babs Woodbury (400 yds / 366 m per 100 g skein, 65 % merino wool, 35 % tussah silk), shown in color Provence, approximately:
3 (4, 4, 4, 5, 5) skeins for the regular length version
4 (4, 5, 5, 5, 6) skeins for the long version

or Fingering-weight yarn, approximately:
1224 (1342, 1442, 1552, 1682, 1835) yds / 1120 (1228, 1319, 1420, 1539, 1679) m for the regular length version
1466 (1600, 1719, 1846, 1992, 2163) yds / 1341 (1464, 1573, 1689, 1823, 1979) m for the long version

NEEDLES

  • size US 4 / 3.5 mm circular needle
  • size US 4 / 3.5 mm double pointed needles for sleeves or a long circular needle if using Magic loop technique or a size to obtain gauge

NOTIONS

  • 6 stitch markers, 2 markers in one color/shape and 4 markers in the other
  • row counter
  • waste yarn for holding the sleeve stitches
  • tapestry needle to weave in the yarn ends
