Sometimes a stitch pattern, or even a color range, comes first. This time, however, the yarn came first and guided the design. I really like using Shetland wool for Fair Isle knits and typically have chosen one of the traditional Shetland-based suppliers for my yarn. Recently I discovered a relatively new Shetland wool supplier and was eager to give their product a try. This design, featuring traditional Fair Isle stitch patterns, is the result.
