These fingerless mittens are worked in a twisted mock rib which gives the effect of cables.

Special technique: The mittens are worked in the round on Double Pointed Needles, so you will need to be familiar with this technique. Magic loop on circular needles can obviously also be used.

The mittens are worked in an Aran weight yarn, however, I have experimented with the pattern in a Double Knitting yarn weight. If you work the pattern in DK using 3.5 mm needles, the mittens will fit children’s hands.
