Just as the leaves slowly fall from the trees and turn from green to orange to yellow to brown, this double-sided scarf is full of leaves shifting from one color to the next as it cascades down in a generous length.

This intarsia scarf uses both ends of the sock blank to make the color fade and meet in the middle. You can either use the blank itself or create or or two cakes from the blank. CC1 is one end of the blank and CC2 is the other end. Remember with intarsia to bring the new working yarn from underneath the previous working yarn as you switch from one color to the next. The second leaf motif will undulate back and forth adding and deleting stitches while the first leaf motif will have a consistent 18 sts. A knitted Icord gives a nice smooth edge and a way to darn the two half together with hidden stitches.
