Inspired by my daughter’s obsession with ‘nature collecting,’ this little hat celebrates spring. On the first warm day of the season, we walk around our neighborhood stuffing our pockets full of the new ‘baby leaves.’ The Leaf Keeper hat is a lightweight open-work project perfect for keeping little explorers warm on breezy days. With an easy-to-follow lace motif, it is a great first lace project for any beginner. The border is ribbed, and a lovely lace spiral highlights the crown. Using less than 1 skein of yarn, this hat is a quick and practical accessory.
