These gorgeous over the knee socks were inspired by vintage seamed stockings. I took the idea one step further with a panel of lacy leaves twining up the back, and eyelet ribbing starting at the cuff and running throughout the body. These are a fun challenge for anyone who loves lace and sock knitting. I cast on with 6.5 mm needles and worked the sock from the cuff down using 3.5 mm double pointed needles, and finished the toe in kitchener stitch. A bit of fine elastic thread sewn into the cuff keeps the socks up beautifully. Use any super fine sock yarn and knit yourself a pair of stunning socks to keep you warm and fashionable all winter!
